Christian with a mission

Beloved, while I diligently tried to write to you of the salvation we have in common, I found it necessary to write and appeal to you to contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.” Jude v. 3

That you and I today can read the Bible and practice the Christian faith has to do with those who walked the path of faith before us. There are those who, before us, have seriously fought to keep the Christian faith pure. They have confronted error and established what God’s word says. The Bible has been preserved and translated into different languages. This is not something we can just take for granted but must be grateful for.

From the earliest times to the present, the Christian faith has been under attack. The next generation is always influenced by the previous generation, positively and negatively. Each person’s activity or inactivity affects others.

Every believer has a mission to contend seriously for the faith. Your small and big choices affect others. Fight in faith for the preservation and spreading of the faith. This is not a battle just for pastors and preachers but for every believer. It is about people being able to be saved and follow Jesus and reach heaven.

Our faith is the Bible. Hold tight to your Bible today and live it out and speak out its message. This is your mission and it will be a blessing to you and others.

“But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit.” Jude v. 20

Build up yourself and your faith by going to the source of the faith, the Bible. Pray in the Holy Spirit prayers that come from your heart and pray in tongues. Praying in tongues builds you up and gives rest and is for all believers. This gives you strength in the battle.

God bless you.
