Are you on your way to heaven?

Jesus explained to the people already two thousand years ago when He walked the earth, about the two completely different final destinations of the people.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He suffered, died on the cross and rose on the third day and lives forever. Jesus died for our sin. He had never sinned and could therefore take our sin penalty upon Himself, so that God would be able to give grace and forgiveness to us humans on a legal basis. Jesus, in unimaginably deep love, proved by His suffering for us, extended His helping hand to humanity. He longs for our response.

How many there are today who have turned to Jesus, believe in Him and follow Him in their daily lives, of course only God knows. The Bible speaks clearly that the Christian faith is personal but also something that can be noticed from its practitioners.

How many people do you have in your school, at your workplace or in your neighborhood today, who not only claim to believe in Jesus with all their heart, but also live a life in Jesus’ imitation? In today’s secularized society contempt and denial of God is widespread. People want to go their own way and do exactly what they want. Listening to the Bible’s advice and how to be reconciled to God is frowned upon. How then, do you think you can get to heaven when you die? In heaven it is pure, holy and glorious. Full of holy angels, human souls who have followed the path of Jesus and the presence of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit that permeates everyone. If you don’t go to heaven after death, there is only one other place. Hell.

Hell is an eternal place of torment prepared for the devil and the evil spirits. But it is also the place where people end up who have not been reconciled to God during their earthly life. There is darkness, weeping and gnashing of teeth, torment and eternal fire. Very horrid, but real.

“And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the age of this world and according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among them we all also once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and we were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),” Ephesians 2:1‭-‬5

Are you following Jesus or the spirit of the world today? Are you heading to heaven or hell?

God wants every person to be saved for eternity and He is waiting to be able to show His grace and grant forgiveness. But man must personally turn to God and put His faith in Jesus. Then one becomes reconciled to God and can begin to live out the Christian life daily by reading and practicing the Bible.

Turn away from sin, to Jesus. He was tempted in all things without yielding to the temptations and knows how we feel when we are tempted by sin. Jesus is mighty to redeem us from the guilt and power of sin. Call out to Jesus from your heart and become His follower today. God wants your fellowship already here on earth and then for all eternity, in heaven.

God bless you.
