The parrots

“Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God said, ‘You shall not eat of any tree of the garden’?” Genesis 3:1

The Bible consists of the Old Testament (OT) and the New Testament (NT). The first thing you can read about the devil in the OT is that he questions what God said.  The devil is cunning and he does the same way still. He is a liar and deceiver and he questions, distorts and wants to undermine God’s Word, the Bible.

The Bible was written by several different persons over a long period of time and then compiled into one book. Those who wrote the Bible were inspired by the Spirit of God.  The Bible is a spiritual and living book, breathed out by God.

The Bible has always been attacked, but it is a completely reliable book. Lots of prophecies have already been fulfilled and some prophecies are about to be fulfilled. It is a gift from God to us humans, more valuable than anything this world can offer. The devil knows that and therefore he constantly slanders and distorts the Bible.

The first thing you can read about the devil in the New Testament is that he questions and provokes Jesus’ identity.

‭”Then Jesus was led up into the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted by the devil. And He had fasted for forty days and forty nights, and then He was hungry. And the tempter came to Him and said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones be turned into bread.” Matthew 4:1-3

The false religions may have many similarities with the Bible, but when it comes to the identity of Jesus, it usually deviates from the Bible.

Jesus is the Son of God and God manifest in the flesh (1 Tim. 3:16). Jesus was sinless and could therefore take our sin penalty to redeem us humans.

We now live in the New Testament age but read and can learn from the Old Testament as well. But it is important to understand that they are two completely different covenants so that you don’t confuse them. The NT is a much better covenant with better promises, but it was entered into at a much higher price than the OT. In the OT, blood was shed from animals, but in the NT it was the spotless and innocent blood of the Son of God that laid the foundation.

So don’t be deceived by all these “parrots” who constantly repeat the lies of the devil, that the Bible is not the word of God and that Jesus is not the Son of God. Everything stands and falls with this.

Obey and believe the Bible and it will prove itself true to you. Obey and believe in God’s Son, Jesus, and He will prove to you that He really is who the Bible says He is.

God bless you.
