In flaming fire
“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.”” John 1:29
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was sent here to earth two thousand years ago as the Lamb of God. Jesus was the faultless sacrificial lamb who never sinned and was to be slaughtered for the sins of the people.
No one took Jesus’ life, but He gave it of His free will as a ransom for us humans. Jesus has proved His love in action through His suffering for you and me. Jesus rose from the dead on the third day and is now the only one who can reconcile man with God.
Some completely misunderstand and pervert who Jesus is and what He did through His death on the cross. They see and portray Jesus as a weak helpless wretch and despise the work of love He did for us humans. They do not understand that it was through His suffering and death for us that He overcame sin and the devil for our sake. Jesus died and rose as a winner and He has won the greatest victory in world history, for us. Have you taken part of that victory? Have you received the forgiveness of sins and Jesus’ help to walk free from the captivity of sin?
”and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. They shall be punished with eternal destruction, isolated from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,” 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9
When Jesus returns, He will come with His mighty angels in flaming fire. Then those who mocked and despised Jesus may stand there with their rude claims and rebelliousness. Jesus will then be sharp as a sword. It will be terrible.
Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords. His eyes are like a flame of fire and He deserves our worship. God is both love and holy. Fear, respect, revere and love God. God is God.
“Therefore, brothers, let it be known to you that through this Man (Jesus) forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and by Him everyone who believes is justified from everything from which you could not be justified by the Law of Moses. Therefore beware, lest what is spoken of in the prophets come upon you: ‘Look, you scoffers, marvel and perish! For I will perform a work in your days which you will never believe, even if someone declares it to you.’” Acts 13:38-41
Repent and ask Jesus to have mercy on you. You need to be saved.
